This spider-web dress by Jean Paul Gaultier (spring 2003) softens the arachnid iconography.

The Marvel Comics universe contains several spider she-villains (the terrifying Scream and She-Venom, among them), but there is at least one superheroine suited for this gown: Jessica Drew, a.k.a. Spider-Woman.
