Tory Burch line is full of preppy chic fashions

Tory Burch is on the move.

After chairing the American Ballet Theatre Gala in New York recently, the 41-year-old designer hopped a plane to Houston for a whirlwind 18-hour visit. She opened a new boutique in The Galleria and attended a benefit at the home of John and Becca Cason Thrash. Then she was off to Europe.

Before launching her fashion line in 2004, Burch was known more for her social exploits than her design skills. But her distinctive “preppy chic” look featuring patterned tunics, sleeveless shifts, ballet flats and big totes with a “double T” logo instantly appealed to women of all ages. More…
